0.25 Support with administrative activities (m/f/d)

The BUXUS STIFTUNG gGmbH | Fritz Bauer Forum is looking for support in administrative activities (m/f/d) (25%) for the project „Nothing is past, everything is present“ – workshop programme for schools and trainees in the police and justice system, which is carried out in cooperation with the New Israel Fund Deutschland e.V. and as part of the federal programme „Live Democracy!“.

… a position with 25% of the regular weekly working time of 39 hours. The position is limited until 31.12.2026. An annual extension of the project within the framework of the federal programme „Living Democracy“ is intended until 31.12.2027. If the personal requirements are met, the position will be graded based on EG 11, the place of employment is Bochum.

Who are we?

The Fritz Bauer Forum in Bochum is an independent centre for human rights and democracy. We are a place for research, education and exchange based on Fritz Bauer’s life’s work, which we transfer to the present day. In this way, we create a place where the daily struggle for human rights is remembered. New ideas for realising a diverse community where participation, collaboration and empowerment are the values we live by. Our forum opened in May 2025 and we are active in many different areas: Events on political education and literature, podcasts on human rights, a digital exhibition on Fritz Bauer and work with and at schools and universities as well as with civil society groups.

What are your tasks?

– They are working on the project „Nothing is past, everything is present“, in which a workshop programme on human rights education, democracy and civil society engagement for schools and trainees in the police and justice system is being developed. The project takes place in cooperation with the New Israel Fund Deutschland e.V. and uses examples of past and current conflicts. One focus is the Middle East conflict and its historical connection to the Holocaust.

– You are the central contact person for the project and for the coordination of the workshops in Bochum

– Your tasks will include

– Supporting the content and organisation of the project and taking on coordination tasks such as invitations to meetings of the teams and the advisory board in Bochum (NRW)

– Preparing and following up on the content of meetings and taking minutes of them

– Project documentation and monitoring of constant adherence to deadlines and budgets

– Preparing project reports, including the final report, for the funding organisation

– Supporting the creation of texts for the project’s public relations work

What do you bring with you?

You have

– a relevant university degree (at least B.A. or comparable)

– Proven practical experience in the content and organisational support of projects

– Organisational skills and a structured, careful way of working

– A sense of responsibility as well as the ability to work in a team, flexibility and reliability

– Good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
