Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) at the Fritz Bauer Forum
The Fritz Bauer Forum in Bochum is an independent centre for human rights and democracy. We are a place for research, education and exchange based on Fritz Bauer’s life’s work, which we transfer to the present day. In this way, we create a place where the daily struggle for human rights is remembered. Here, new ideas for the realisation of a diverse community are created, in which participation, cooperation and empowerment are the values by which we live. Our forum opens in May 2025, but we are already active in many different areas: Events on political education and literature, podcasts on human rights, a digital exhibition on Fritz Bauer and work with and at schools and universities as well as with civil society groups.
