Here you will find references to literature and media that have been published more recently. This means that most of them were published after the year 2000. We have only included a few earlier references that we consider important, not least for readers in German-speaking countries. You will not find any country-specific literature or media that provide information on the human rights situation in specific regions or countries. Please refer to the bibliographies of individual countries.
Only if we consider a local or regional study to be of particular interest for the general discussion and development of human rights, which is constantly in flux, will it be included in this bibliography. For example, when a “third generation” right, such as the right to health, becomes the subject of a study, or when globalisation issues influence the current discourse and change human rights.
In a few years’ time, it will be other topics that determine the discourse on human rights. However, questions of sustainability and an economy orientated towards natural resources, which preserves our climate, health and life on our heritage, will certainly be a permanent topic.
