Exclusive ambience for special occasions

A venue for unforgettable events

Our library is a very special venue. Not only because of its history as the former “Havkenscheid Mourning Hall” in the Brutalist style, which represents a counter-model to the Nazi architecture at Bochum’s main cemetery, Freigrafendamm. The Fritz Bauer Forum library is a small masterpiece due to its steel and ash construction, which lends the high room a special atmosphere. It is particularly beautiful in good weather, when the sun shines in through the colourful leaded windows.

For your event, the library is equipped with the best media technology, good acoustics and various lighting options as well as a large screen. It can be used as a seminar and lecture room as well as a venue for small concerts. Feel free to ask us if you would like to film or stream your event!
