To mark the Bochum human rights film festival UNLIMITED HOPE, which will take place from September 4 to 7, 2025, at the Fritz Bauer Forum and on the morning of September 4 at the German Football Museum in Dortmund, we are once again showing the award-winning film by director Ilona Ziok on our website, thanks to the initiative of CV-Films Berlin.

The documentary film by Berlin director Ilona Ziok will be shown from August 28 to September 4, 2025 . To date, the film, which was unanimously rated “particularly valuable” by the German Film Rating Agency, has not been broadcast on ARD.
One can only guess why. Perhaps it is too close to reality? Not enough sex and crime story, as marketed in the subsequent feature films. This distracts from resistance fighter Fritz Bauer and the integration of Nazis into post-war West German society.
On the occasion of the UNLIMITED HOPE film festival, the Fritz Bauer & Raphael Lemkin Human Rights Film Award will be presented. The exciting festival program can be found here:
