The Chinese human rights activist and lawyer

Teng Biao (滕彪;) is a Chinese human rights activist and lawyer. Teng is a lecturer at the Chinese University of Political Science and Law in Beijing. He has been arrested at least twice so far: for two days in March 2008 and in February 2011. Teng Biao flew to the USA via Hong Kong with his youngest daughter and has been living in exile in New Jersey since September 2014, where he was offered a professorship at Harvard University through the „Scholars at Risk“ programme. In April 2015, his wife fled with their older daughter via Southeast Asia and joined her husband a year later.
