Lecture and discussion with the Bochum-Bergen memorial site initiative

July 2024 marked the 80th anniversary of the completion of the forced labour camp at Constantin der Große colliery in Bochum, which is still fully intact today.

This event will present contemporary testimonies and the results of research into various aspects such as the working and living conditions of forced labourers at the Krupp Constantin colliery in the north of Bochum. The former camp at Bergenerstr. 116a-i, which is still inhabited today, is to become a new memorial site according to a decision by the Bochum City Council.

How will it be designed? What ideas and wishes do you have?

An event organised by the Initiative Gedenkort Bochum-Bergen in cooperation with the vhs Bochum and the Fritz Bauer Forum.
