Information on
The Bochum History Workshop and the Fritz Bauer Forum invite you to take part in an excursion to Winterswijk and Aalten in the Netherlands.
The programme includes a guided tour of Winterswijk and a guided tour of the „National Onderduikmuseum“ (Underground and Resistance Museum) in Aalten
A memorial in Winterswijk commemorates the resistance against the Nazi regime.
During the Second World War, the house in Aalten that now houses the National Onderduikmuseum was home to a military commandant’s office. The rear building served as a hiding place for Jews, for people who resisted and for people who were threatened with being sent to Germany for forced labour.

Time: Saturday, 6 April 2024, from 7.00 a.m.
Participation fee: 5,00 Euro
