Kick-off event for familiarisation and testing

The Fritz Bauer Library is launching a varied, one-and-a-half-day programme to get to know and try out the library.

The opening lecture will be given by Dr Monika Hauser, founder and chairwoman of medica mondiale e.V., winner of the 2008 Alternative Nobel Prize, and will be followed by three Bochum stories presented by local researchers and current interventions by the Bochum-based theatre Traumbaum.

Afterwards, the focus will be on „researching, retelling and taking a stand“, together with researchers and organisations that are involved in the „fight for human rights“. The library brings together the experiences of people who are fighting against lack of freedom, nationalism, racism and human rights violations around the world. What drives them to resist? Where do they find the strength to do so? What can we do ourselves? See the full programme under Download.
