PD Dr Irmtrud Wojak will give a lecture in Bremen on the new edition of her biography of the jurist Fritz Bauer.

Fritz Bauer, who survived detention in a concentration camp and prison, stood up for prisoners and the weakest members of our society. The right and duty to resist, criminal law reform and a humane penal system were his main concerns. „We should be our brother’s keeper,“ said the lawyer. „That seems to me to be the task of a democratic, social and humane law.“
