Michal Sella, CEO of Givat Haviva, will be connected online via Zoom to talk about the work of Givat Haviva, the Center for Shared Society, located in central Israel. Givat Haviva is the leading civil society organisation dedicated to educating and promoting Jewish-Arab relations within Israel. The organisation promotes equality and healthy civic relations between Jewish and Arab citizens through education, language skills development, and cultural programming.
Michal is an expert in Israeli politics and public policy with extensive experience working with governmental bodies both in Israel and abroad. Her career includes serving as Director of the Center for Policy Change at Shatil – New Israel Fund; parliamentary advisor at the Knesset; journalist and co-editor at Channel 2; co-founder of The Whistle (Israel’s fact-checking NGO); and pedagogical coordinator at the Hashomer Hatzair youth movement. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from Oxford University, as well as bachelor’s degrees in history and journalism from Tel Aviv University. Michal lives in Kibbutz Maanit in central Israel with her partner and two daughters.
