Information on
Gudrun and Otto Honke, publishing editor and sociologist, worked in Rwanda for a long time and researched the history of the country during German colonial rule. They have compiled an extensive collection of photos in archives and museums that illustrate what Rwanda looked like when the colonial power arrived and what consequences colonial rule had for the country. Together with Rwandan historians, they have created a photo exhibition that attracts numerous visitors to the Kandt House, the historical museum in Kigali.
The photo exhibition will be presented at the event and some of the photographs will be exhibited.
An event organised by the Fritz Bauer Forum in cooperation with Medizinische Flüchtlingshilfe Bochum.
