Günter Pohl | „The Backyard – Chile, Latin America and the USA“

Chile in 1973 was neither the first nor the last coup d’état in the interests of the USA in Latin America. There is no question that the USA was directly or indirectly involved in deposing unpopular governments in this region of the world. What differences were and are there in various Latin American countries? In addition, the focus will be on the different ways in which these events were received abroad, both by the bourgeois media and by solidarity groups.

Günter Pohl, born in 1965 on the Lower Rhine, has been working in the design and restoration of glass for thirty-five years. He is also interested in the history and current situation in Latin America and Europe and has written numerous texts and newspaper articles on the subject. He published the dialogue-philosophical trilogy „On the Order of the World“.
