Opening of the Fritz Bauer Forum – Day 1

The Fritz Bauer Forum is finally opening.

After laying the foundation stone in August 2021 and opening the library in summer 2023, where many exciting events and workshops have taken place since then, the time has finally come: the Fritz Bauer Forum, Bochum Centre for Democracy and Human Rights, is opening its doors!

We want to celebrate this – with an opening evening, an academic conference, a cultural programme and much more from 22-24 May 2025. We cordially invite you to get to know the Forum and its new premises and to come and talk to us.

On 22 May 2025, the Fritz Bauer Forum will be opened in the evening – with greetings, speeches and a reading from texts by Fritz Bauer. This will be followed on 23 May by a conference on „Law and Morality“ and on 24 May by a varied cultural programme.
