The European Convention on Human Rights between economics and politics

In his lecture „The European Convention on Human Rights between Economics and Politics“, Florian Fischer will first give an overview of the European Convention on Human Rights and the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. He will then discuss the correlation between the economic situation and the human rights situation. Finally, he will refer to a mechanism that he calls the „institutionalisation of human rights“, i.e. a self-declared responsibility of politics and the state for their own human rights situation.
