"What are you protesting for?"

To mark International Human Rights Day on 10 December 2025, the Human Rights Day Forum invites you to an evening of music, inputs and discussions. Together, we want to explore the question of what people are protesting for and what gives them hope in difficult times, inspired by Article 20 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which protects freedom of assembly and association.

In addition to contributions from Mina (Amnesty Bochum) and Ximena León (One Billion Rising) and an input on the topic of protest, Jo is dead will accompany the evening musically with protest songs. Isabel Campos will lead through the programme. Following the contributions, there will be space for dialogue and discussions with the audience.

Visitors can also design their own buttons during the break and express their messages creatively.

Drinks can be purchased at Café Historias.
