A look back
Alexander Fichtner documents the living conditions of people after they have fled their homes and offers an insight into their lives. These photographs, which are both matter-of-fact and intimate, were taken during a press trip to the Sheikhan refugee camp in the province of North Kurdistan.
Over the years, the Berlin-based collector Wolfgang Haney has amassed a collection of almost 1,000 anti-Semitic postcards, a selection of which is documented in the travelling exhibition ‘abgestempelt’.
The painter Christine Rieck-Sonntag met the musician Ilse Wunsch-Mainzer quite late in life. By then, Ilse was already 89 years old. It developed into a brief but close friendship in New York City.
The exhibition ‘Die Rosenburg – The Federal Ministry of Justice in the Shadow of its Nazi Past’ forms part of the process of coming to terms with the history of the Ministry of Justice.
