Film screening and subsequent discussion

The silence of the fathers is broken by the children and grandchildren.

In NACHLASS, seven children and grandchildren of Nazi perpetrators, members of the Wehrmacht and Holocaust survivors talk about how unspoken issues, feelings of guilt and trauma have shaped their relationships with their fathers and grandfathers and how liberating it is for them to come to terms with this legacy. The silence of the fathers is broken by the children and grandchildren.

NACHLASS brings the memories and knowledge back to where they are needed – to us and our families.
